Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed on pecheneyes.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

PECHENEYES is the jewelry studio of the artist Kristina Pechen, trading as Pecheneyes Studio. Our address and contact details are in our Contact information. You can reach us at atelier@pecheneyes.com.

2. How a commission works

Each piece is made to order. You upload a close-up photo of the eye with your order, or send it later. Kristina paints the iris by hand and sends you a macro photo. Nothing is sealed until you approve it.

You confirm that you may use the photo you send, for example because it shows your own eye or the person in it agrees. We use the photo to make your piece and to talk to you about your order, and we do not publish it, or a photo of your finished piece, without your permission.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and all orders are processed in USD. Shipping, and import duties where they apply, are shown at checkout before you pay.

Payments (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal) are processed by our official partner SKLADUSA, which also handles our US fulfillment. Your payment will appear on your bank statement or PayPal receipt as “SKLADUSA”.

4. Delivery

Making times, delivery estimates, rates and duties are explained in our Shipping policy.

5. Cancellations and returns

You can cancel a made-to-order piece with a full refund until you approve the macro photo. After that, made-to-order and engraved pieces cannot be returned for a change of mind. Accessories without personalisation can be returned within 14 days of delivery. The details are in our Refund policy.

6. 1-Year Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

For one year from delivery, we warrant that:

the hand-painted pigment under the resin dome does not fade, and
the eye insert stays securely set in its setting.

If either fails within that year, write to us at atelier@pecheneyes.com with photos and your order number, and we repair or remake the piece free of charge.

The warranty does not cover mechanical damage, scratches from wear, knocks or impacts, or damage from harsh chemicals, perfume, chlorinated or sea water, baths or saunas. Please take your piece off before swimming, bathing or using a sauna.

This warranty is given in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.

7. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland and of the European Union. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
